Baltimore County Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that injured a man in Overlea yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to Franklin Square Hospital for a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body just after 1 p.m. yesterday, December 15. The victim indicated that the shooting occurred in the 7900 block of Belridge Road, 21236 immediately before he responded to the hospital. 

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything in that area to contact police by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses.
