One Dead, Five Injured in Overnight Shooting

UPDATE (December 8, 2020 2:26 p.m.) JZP:

Two suspects have been charged in the March 7 shooting death of a 13-year-old boy on the parking lot of Kenwood Shopping Center. 

Rodrick ONeil Bell (20) and Jeremiah Corneal Bell (16), both of the 5000 block of Walther Avenue, 21214 were arrested at their home early Thursday morning, December 3. Both are facing charges of first degree murder and five counts of attempted first degree murder. Jeremiah Bell is charged as an adult in these crimes. 

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit were able to determine that at 11:57 p.m., when a number of teens had exited 'Triple Threat Elite' dance studio, the suspects drove through the parking lot and began firing shots into the crowd, striking one adult and five juvenile victims, including Rickie Forehand (13) who died at the scene. Detectives are continuing to investigate to determine a motive for this shooting.

Both defendants remain held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on denied bail status. Anyone who may have additional information should contact police by calling 410-307-2020. UPDATE (March 9, 2020 1:18 p.m.):

The five victims, two 12-year-old boys, one 14-year-old girl, one 14-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, were released from the hospital late yesterday and are recovering from their gunshot wounds at home.

Police are diligently investigating this crime and are asking the community for any information or video footage from that night. Detectives believe somebody has information on the shooter(s) and are asking them to come forward. Callers can remain anonymous to police or Metro Crime Stoppers. Baltimore County Police have identified the victim from the early morning shooting in the 6200 block of Kenwood Ave, 21237.  

Rickie Tyrone Forehand (13) from the 5900 block of Hillen Road, 21239 was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers responded for a disturbance on the parking lot when multiple shooting victims approached them for help. Five shooting victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries and Victim Forehand was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives believe the shooting victims were attending an event at the Triple Threat Elite Dance Studio. As the victims left the event they were approached by several suspects on the parking lot. An altercation ensued, then multiple shots were fired toward the group.

Homicide detectives are interviewing numerous people from the event and searching for any video surveillance in the area.

Baltimore County Police are investigating a homicide with multiple other shooting victims this morning. 

Police were called to the 6200 block of Kenwood Avenue, 21237 shortly after midnight for a disturbance. Upon arrival they discovered multiple shooting victims in the parking lot of a shopping plaza. The suspect(s) fled the scene before police arrived. 

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Five other victims were transported to area hospitals but are expected to survive.
