UPDATE (OCTOBER 22, 2020 1:55 P.M.) ^RR:

On September 30, Lateef Amir Maple (32) of the 1100 block of Myrtle Avenue, 21201 was the first suspect arrested in connection with the July 28 murder of Trevor Hamlet.

As a part of the on-going investigation, Baltimore County Homicide detectives were able to identify Donwin Rumeal Brooks (30) of the 2200 block of Linden Avenue, 21217 as being the second suspect. On October 21, Brooks was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Trevor Hamlet.

Maple and Brooks are charged with first-degree murder and various other charges. Maple remains held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status. Brooks is held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status pending a bail review hearing. 

UPDATE (July 29, 2020 1:19 p.m.):

Police Update Shooting to Homicide That Occurred In Rosedale

On July 28 just after 7 p.m. police responded to the 2000 block of Kelbourne Rd., 21237 for a call of a shooting. The preliminary investigation determined that when the victims arrived home, an unknown suspect shot both of them in the parking lot and then fled the scene.

The victims, Trevor Hamlet (31) of the 2000 block of Kelbourne Road, 21237 and a second man, were transported to a local hospital. Victim Hamlet succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The second victim is expected to survive his injuries. Detectives believe the victims were targeted and this is an isolated incident.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Department's Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding this murder and asks anyone who may have additional information to call 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Police Investigate The Shooting of Two Men In Rosedale

Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting in Rosedale tonight that left two men hospitalized.

On July 28 just after 7 p.m. police responded to the 2000 block of Kelbourne Rd., 21237 for a call of a shooting. When police arrived, they found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. They were transported to a local hospital and their conditions are unknown.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Department are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ask anyone who may have additional information to call 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
