About the Commander

Captain Craig Mitchell is eager to build relationships with the many communities and businesses in Wilkens.
- 1993—Captain Craig Mitchell began his career with BCoPD assigned to the Woodlawn Precinct as a patrolman
- 2000—Promoted to corporal and assigned to the Wilkens Precinct for 10 months before returning to Woodlawn
- 2005—Promoted to sergeant and remained at Woodlawn
- 2010—Assigned as a supervisor of the Woodlawn Precinct's Investigative Services Team where he remained until being promoted to lieutenant
- 2017—Transferred to the Cockeysville Precinct
- 2019—Transferred to the Franklin Precinct and assumed the role of the assistant precinct commander, promoted to captain in October
- 2021—After being assigned for 14 months as the commander of the Essex Precinct, he is now assigned to Precinct 1 Wilkens
