Faxcom is a networked service and plugin for County email that allows you to send and receive electronic faxes without a fax machine or telephone line. Learn more and find out how to request Faxcom access below.

User Guides

The following quick-reference sheets are available. Be sure to select the proper quick reference sheet for your email system.

Please note that Faxcom setup is different for the desktop version of Outlook and the web-based version, known as Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Benefits

The Faxcom system provides a number of benefits:

  • Reduced hardware and maintenance costs, as physical fax machines are no longer required.
  • Greatly reduced monthly telephone costs associated with the use of fax machines, as a dedicated phone line is no longer required for each fax machine.
  • Time savings to users, especially when faxing documents created or stored on local or network resources. For example, Word and Excel files can simply be attached to an email message and sent to a fax number.
  • Savings of paper resources, as fax messages are delivered directly to the recipient’s County email inbox and aren't printed unless the recipient desires to do so.
  • Improved security, as fax transmissions don't have to be printed and are sent directly to intended recipients.
