Most Popular Services

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) promotes adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination for low income residents of Baltimore County. The services offered by the Department help participants strengthen their families, improve their skills, education and economic status, and ultimately reduce their dependence on government programs.

Participate in Upcoming Community Listening Sessions

DHCD is searching for County residents willing to participate in community listening sessions, during which participants will have a chance to weigh in on critical issues, including education, employment, housing and transportation. This input will help ensure that DHCD's policy decisions are informed by the perspective of County residents regarding what it would take to achieve their long-term vision for a thriving community.

Request for Application for Affordable and Accessible Housing Units

DHCD invites qualified development partners to submit an application for viable affordable housing. This Request for Applications (RFA) for the production and preservation of affordable housing would leverage the County's capital solutions to support housing development and long-term affordability for households wishing to reside in the County.
