The Office of Housing promotes adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination for low income residents of Baltimore County. The services offered by the Office of Housing help participants strengthen their families, improve their skills, education and economic status, and ultimately reduce their dependence on government programs.

Housing Highlights

  • The Baltimore County Council recently enacted Bill 95-20, entitled "Tenant Protections During an Emergency." The law became effective on October 19, 2020, and "applies prospectively to rent increases that take effect after the effective date of this Act and does not apply retroactively to rent increases that went into effect before the effective date of this Act." Review the Bill in its entirety online (PDF).

  • TABCO Towers waiting list is open until December 31, participants can apply via the Office of Housing portal.

  • The Office of Housing is a partner with the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) and others in the Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program. On behalf of the partners, BMC is seeking qualified and experienced developers to apply for affordable housing subsidies for new construction, substantial rehabilitation or existing housing.

  • Public Notice—Award of Project-Based Vouchers: The Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher Program, which includes Baltimore County Office of Housing as a partner agency, has made the following awards of project-based vouchers.

  • The Baltimore County Office of Housing has a Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator that is available to assist voucher applicants and participants with making reasonable accommodation or modification requests. Please contact Michelle Brown-Mosley at 410-887-3435 or email mbmosley@baltimorecountymd.gov.
