Chief Rund Announces Promotion to Assistant Fire Chief

Fire Chief Joanne Rund has announced the promotion of Bureau Chief Scott Ebbert to Assistant Fire Chief, effective February 24, 2024.

Asst. Chief Ebbert's journey with the department began in 1999. In that time, he has worked his way up from Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Specialist, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Bureau Chief, to now Assistant Fire Chief.

His contribution as the Training and Education Bureau Chief has been invaluable in shaping our newest members of this department. His extensive experience, outstanding leadership skills, and commitment to BCoFD have earned him this well-deserved advancement.

As we celebrate this achievement, we eagerly look forward to the continued contributions of Assistant Chief Ebbert to this department. We are confident that he will excel in his new role, inspiring those around him and further enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of BCoFD.
