Deceased Male Found by Firefighters in Rosedale Vehicle Fire

Update, August 12:

Baltimore County Police fire investigators have identified the victim of this July 27 fatal automobile fire. The victim is Linzie Dillard Bonds II, 68, of Aberdeen, Maryland. 

The cause and manner of death are pending at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Original release:

A deceased male victim was found by firefighters responding to a vehicle fire in Rosedale last night.

Crews were dispatched to a report of smoke in the 8500 block of Contractors Road, 21237, near the CSX Railroad Crossing, at 7:50 p.m.

Engine 16 (Golden Ring) firefighters found a fully involved vehicle just off of the railroad tracks. While extinguishing the fire, they found a male, deceased, in the driver’s seat.

BCoPD investigators were called to the scene. A BCoPD investigation is ongoing.
