The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes lists of requests for environmental administrative variances and their status for all County Council Districts. These are the requests for County Council District 2 and are listed below in chronological order.

Nature of Variance Request: The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability gives notice that a variance request in accordance with Section 33-4-113 of the Baltimore County Code was received to disturb approximately 94,582 square feet of land area. This site lies within an inter-jurisdictional watershed, which would therefore require stormwater management for the 100-year design storm. ESD will be provided to the MEP. Calculations and narrative have been provided that demonstrate that an increase of approximately 1.07 cubic square feet may be expected in the 100-year storm from the site. However, the stormwater management facility will attenuate the peak of the runoff, this site will now be at its ultimate development potential, and the receiving storm drains and outfall channels have adequate capacity to accept this small increase in flow. Existing utilities on-site make it impractical to provide additional storage of stormwater runoff.
