With an enviable business climate and a strong, diversified economic base, Baltimore County offers an unbeatable quality of life for the people who make this vibrant economy work.

Baltimore County is located in the heart of Maryland, with over 10,000 acres of parkland, 200 miles of waterfront and home to over 850,000 residents. We’re proud to claim nationally-recognized public schools, colleges and universities, and have made record-level investments to support education. With research tech centers, business incubators, entrepreneurial programs and accelerators, Baltimore County produces one of the most educated and abundant workforces in the nation.

Our private sector industries generate $47.7 billion in economic output, balanced across every major industry. A competitive transportation network, access to global markets and dynamic partnerships provide endless opportunities for economic growth. Baltimore County consistently earns the coveted triple "Triple-A" bond rating, a top honor that is shared by only two percent of counties nationwide. With over 20,000 businesses already established, Baltimore County is a thriving place to start and grow your business.
