The Department of Economic and Workforce Development (DEWD) works to make Baltimore County a thriving location for businesses and a place where well educated and trained residents enjoy ample economic opportunity. We provide business and workforce services that:

Baltimore County’s comprehensive workforce development system serves the local business community by connecting employers with the talent they need to compete in today’s global economy, whether this means finding new hires or upskilling existing staff. Job seekers can visit any of the County’s three Career Centers to access a range of valuable professional development services that will help them prepare for and secure employment in high-demand industry sectors and advance along career pathways.
