Recreation & Parks Announces the Return of Screen on the Green and New Days of Play Program

July 3, 2025

TOWSON—Baltimore County’s Department of Recreation and Parks today announced the return of its popular Screen on the Green outdoor summer movie series and the debut of Days of Play, a free, supervised outdoor play program for children.

Screen on the Green is a free summer movie series held for residents and visitors of all ages at parks throughout Baltimore County. Pre-movie activities—which begin at 6 p.m.—may include yard games, dancing and arts and crafts. Movies begin at 7 p.m., and participants are encouraged to bring along blankets or chairs and snacks.

Days of Play features free, supervised outdoor play for children ages eight through 14 through July. Each session runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and requires a parent or guardian to sign a waiver on-site. Program locations were suggested by followers of the Department of Recreation and Parks’ Facebook page(link is external). Additional locations and dates may be announced.
