Baltimore County Recreation and Parks Announces Spring Festival Lineup

TOWSON—Today, the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks is proud to announce the spring festival series including celebrations of culture and the great outdoors.

Irish Music Festival
Saturday, March 8th from 1 to 6 p.m.
Oregon Ridge Lodge in Cockeysville

A celebration of Irish music and culture includes food, drink and craft vendors. 
Featuring Baltimore’s own ShamRogues, Celtic Corridor, and singer/songwriter Brian Gaffney
$20 per person.  Children ages 11 and under are free.

Migration Celebration
Sunday, April 6th 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lake Roland Park

Observe the magic of migration and discover how birds, butterflies, and other wildlife undertake their seasonal journeys as we celebrate with live music, activities, vendors and animal ambassadors from Baltimore County’s nature centers.  
Free for all ages.

Spring Festival
Saturday, April 12th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
Marshy Point Nature Center in Middle River

An occasion to celebrate the season at Baltimore County’s waterfront nature center with live music, vendors, and family-themed activities.  
Free for all ages.

Earth Day Festival
Sunday, April 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Baltimore County Agricultural Center and Farm Park in Hunt Valley

Come celebrate Earth Day with educational demonstrations and activities, including a seed swap, plant sales, hayrides, games, vendors and animal encounters.
Free for all ages.

May Day Faerie Fest
Saturday May 3rd & Sunday, May 4th 
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days
Rocky Point Park in Essex

In partnership with Spoutwood Farm, the May Day Faerie Festival celebrates all things magical.  This year’s theme is Wings, Wonder, and Whimsy. This two-day event includes four stages of live music, more than one hundred craft vendors and artisans, pony rides, bubbles, magicians, fairies, goblins, and more winged things than you can count!

Drag Bingo and Brunch
Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Holt Park and Center for the Arts in Overlea

A celebration of pride featuring bingo, drag queen performances and giveaways.  
$7 per person

Juneteenth
Thursday, June 19 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum

A cultural celebration of Juneteenth at the museum commemorating one of Maryland’s most famous African American citizens, Benjamin Banneker. Live music, food and drink vendors, and exhibits about African American History. 
Free for all ages.
