Red House Run Structural Sewer Rehabilitation

Baltimore County has started a major sewer rehabilitation project consisting of almost 15 miles of sewer line in the Overlea and Rosedale areas. Work on the $4.7 million project began in June and is expected to take about a year and a half to complete. It's one percent complete and should be finished by the end of 2023. The Red House Run Structural Sewer Rehabilitation project is part of the County's Consent Decree—its agreement with the EPA to improve the entire sanitary system.

A sewer bypass was installed on October 22 in preparation for the project, which includes extensive electrical and mechanical work in addition to a new roof and generator. The renovation of this two-pump station is expected to be completed this year; it is 89 percent toward that goal.
