EPS Variances

The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

Baltimore County Planning Board meetings are scheduled as follows:

Design Review Panel Meeting

The Design Review Panel meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 12, at 6 p.m. in Room 104 of the Jefferson Building, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.

New Sewer Line for Old Battle Grove Road

Having recently completed the renovation of the Old Battle Grove Pumping Station in Dundalk, Baltimore County is replacing 2,000 feet of six-inch diameter cast-iron sewer pipe from 7600 Old Battle Grove Road to North Point Boulevard. Work will begin in December or early January and take about three weeks to complete. The line, which will be installed by trenchless drilling and may, at times, by noisy. It will cost about $600,000.

Sewer Upgrade in Dundalk

Baltimore County began upgrading sewer lines on six residential streets in Dundalk in July: Dunmanway, Baybriar Road, Sollers Point Road, Merritt Boulevard, Merritt Point Road and Meadow Way. The project is 21 percent complete. County engineers anticipate some traffic congestion during construction.

Marine Oaks Pumping Station

Baltimore County is upgrading the Marine Oaks Sewer Pumping Station at 26 Helmsman Court in Essex. The complete upgrade to the station is estimated to cost $1,584,537 and will take about a year to complete. Work began in January and is now 21 percent finished.

Beachwood Water Main Replacement

Baltimore County is replacing an eight-inch and a 12-inch diameter water line, both cast-iron, which have frequently failed, on Rosebank Avenue, Edgewater Place, Glenhurst Road and Bletzer Road. The project, estimated to cost $1.5 million, began in late April and is expected to be finished by the spring of 2019. It is now 80 percent complete.

Peninsula Boulevard Pumping Station

The Department of Public Works and Transportation is renovating the Peninsula Boulevard Pumping Station at 8401 Stansbury Road. Construction began in August 2017 and was originally expected to be completed by November 2018. The station, now about 79 percent complete, is expected to cost $1,790,400 and be finished by February 2019.

Waldman Avenue Sewage Pumping Station

Baltimore County is renovating the Waldman Avenue Sewage Pumping Station at 7301 Waldman Avenue, in ZIP code 21219. Construction began in August 2017 and was expected to take about a year to complete. It is 75 percent complete and when it is finished on December 20, it will cost $1,507,281.

Homeless Persons' Memorial Service

Join us on the longest night of the year, Friday, December 21, at 5 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Allegheny Avenue in Towson, as we remember and honor the lives of those who have experienced homelessness in Baltimore County and passed away in 2018.
