EPS Variances

Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

The board will meet virtually as follows:

Baltimore County Master Plan 2030

Baltimore County’s Master Plan 2030 provides the vision and strategies for growth over the next 10 years into a modern, 21st century county. We invite you to be a visionary. Visit the Master Plan website and join to stay informed and find out how you can bring your ideas to the table about growth, development and conservation.

Over the summer months, Department of Planning staff will be meeting with communities to inform them about the plan and ask for input about how they see their community, and the County, growing in the next 10 years. Please be sure to check the calendar on the Master Plan website to check for meetings in your area.

Essex Farmers’ Market

Join the Eastern Baltimore County Task Force and Baltimore County at the new Farmers' Market in the heart of Essex on Fridays through October 15, from 3 to 6 p.m., in the parking lot behind 501-515 Eastern Boulevard, Essex, Maryland 21221. Purchase locally grown and produced products, and improve our local economy by supporting our farmers and other local vendors.

New Water Line on Reisterstown Road

Baltimore County is installing a new 36-inch diameter water line on Reisterstown Road between Rosewood Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road. Work on the new supply main, designed to serve the Owings Mills and Reisterstown area, is 86 percent complete and is scheduled to be finished by the spring. The cost is about $9 million.

Rehabilitation for Old Court Road Bridge

Baltimore County will rehabilitate the 50-foot long Old Court Road Bridge over Bens Run (Bridge B-0237) near Northwest Hospital beginning this summer. The project, which will take about a year to complete and cost $2 million, will include replacing beams and sidewalks. Traffic will be maintained during construction, which will begin early next year.
