Phoenix Road Bridge

Baltimore City’s Phoenix Road Bridge (Bridge BC6507) over Gunpowder Falls and the Northern Central Railroad Trail will be replaced. The federally-funded project is anticipated to begin in 2021 and take two years to complete. The bridge will be closed during construction and detours will be established and announced as the project approaches its start, say Baltimore City sources.

Sewer Pumping Station in Cockeysville

Baltimore County is modernizing the Cockeysville Pumping Station. Work began in April. Modifications will take about a year and a half to finish and will cost $5,215,000. The project is 42 percent complete.

Water Main Replacement on York Road

Baltimore County is replacing a water main on York Road between Padonia Road and Wight Avenue. Contractors are replacing an old cast-iron pipe built in the 1930s that has failed frequently in the past decade. The project, which began in July 2018 and will cost about $14 million, is expected to take about two years to complete and is 95 percent finished.
