Baltimore County Launches COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Form

January 15, 2021

In preparation of beginning Phase 1B of Covid-19 vaccinations next week, Baltimore County has released a COVID-19 vaccine registration form that allows County residents to sign up to receive notification when they become eligible to receive a vaccine and when there are available appointments.

“We will vaccinate as many of our residents as possible and we will do it as quickly as we are able to save lives and see the end of this deadly pandemic,” said County Executive Johnny Olszewski. “I thank Health Officer Dr. Gregory Branch, and all of the Health Department staff, for their incredible work in standing up an efficient, effective vaccination operation.”

“The Baltimore County Department of Health stands ready to successfully administer every dose of the vaccine we receive,” said Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch. “Executing an efficient vaccination plan saves lives and that is our primary goal here in Baltimore County.”

Each week, the Baltimore County Department of Health schedules vaccine clinics for the following week, with the number of appointment slots depending on how many vaccines the County will receive through the state. Once the clinics are scheduled, the Department emails a limited number of eligible individuals, providing them links to sign up for appointments.

Residents filling out the new registration form will identify whether they fall into one of the various priority categories and provide their contact information. This will allow the Health Department to contact them when they are eligible and there is vaccine available.

It is important for residents to note that, given the limited amount of vaccine available, it will take time to reach every resident who becomes eligible. Residents are encouraged to be patient, and to continue wearing masks and social distancing while we work to vaccinate as many people as possible.

Since receiving the first shipment of vaccine on December 23, 2020, the Baltimore County Department of Health has administered 10,715 vaccine doses—the most doses of any local health department in the state. An additional 5,850 are scheduled to be administered next week.

The Baltimore County Department of Health reminds residents to continue to wear masks, avoid large gatherings, and socially distance for a healthier Baltimore County.
