Self-Help Workshop

Courts Building
401 Bosley Avenue
Grand Jury Room, First Floor
Towson, Maryland 21204

The Circuit Court for Baltimore County refers all parties who are not represented by an attorney to attend the Self-Help Workshop for Family Law Cases. If you are planning to represent yourself, you should attend the Workshop prior to the date of your hearing. You do not need to make an appointment, just show up for the class.

The Workshop was created to provide parties, who are unrepresented by attorneys, basic information on how to prepare for a court hearing. The Workshop will help parties determine whether they should obtain an attorney and, if so, where they may be able to get one. An experienced family law attorney makes the presentation and answers legal information questions. There is also a court staff person present who can answer common court-related questions.

The Workshop is held in the Grand Jury Room on the first floor of the Courthouse on the last Tuesday of every month, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. The following are the dates for the upcoming classes.
