Ducky

Meet Ducky! This sweet, handsome and affectionate boy might just be the best dog ever! He is a staff and volunteer favorite who recently went on a sleepover with a staffer who gave him a glowing review! He walks well on leash with minimal pulling and listens well to verbal redirection if needed. He is very house trained and verbal when he needs to go out. He is very low key with lower energy and a soft demeanor. He loves to be in the presence of people but also does well on his own. He is dog friendly, displaying positive, playful and appropriate body language during buddy walks. He greets new people with full body wiggles and enjoys being pet and receiving attention. He lays around and sleeps for most of the day but does offer love and affection.

Ducky likes stuffed toys, enrichment toys (hard rubber toy) and will engage with a lick mat. He will engage in play for brief periods then lays down with his toys mouthing and pawing at it while rolling around. He didn’t spend anytime in the crate but did go in to investigate. He was gated off with access to a room and common area and did well napping until someone came upstairs. Once left alone, he is verbal with whining and other sounds (pitty screams) but does settle after just a few minutes and will lay down and nap until someone returns.

Additional information: Due to allergies, Ducky is on prescription food and his adoption fee is waived!
