COVID-19 Food Distribution

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Baltimore County Department of Aging (BCDA) has expanded its food distribution efforts by providing food “kits” to the County's older adults, specifically individuals age 60 and older, until the senior centers reopen to the public.

Inside the Food Kits

Food kits include:

  • A heart-healthy box of canned vegetables, soups, grains and pasta
  • A box of fruits and vegetables
  • A box of dairy products, including milk, eggs, yogurt and cheese
  • A small frozen chicken

Only one kit per household. Individuals must live in Baltimore County or be a current member of a Baltimore County senior center.

Boxes will be distributed by appointment only at the following locations on Wednesdays, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Anyone unable to travel to these locations should contact Maryland Access Point (MAP) at 410-887-2594 to discuss other food options with the MAP staff.

Schedule an Appointment

Only individuals with appointments will receive a box of food. Appointment availability is based on the number of food boxes available at each location. During the appointment, individuals will be asked to show proof of age through their BCDA Senior Center Membership Card or other identification.

Important Note: Appointments for the following week can be made beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the preceding Monday, or Tuesday if the preceding Monday is a County holiday.

To schedule an appointment, use the online appointment system. A unique telephone number and name must be used for each account.
