On Our Own of Maryland, Inc.
Title: Poetry Workshop
Date: Every Monday from 3 to 4 p.m.

Weekly poetry writing workshop dedicated to behavioral-health consumers in recovery from mental illnesses or substance use disorders.
No writing experience necessary.

The IMAGE Center, Independent Marylanders Achieving Growth through Empowerment
Title: Monthly Informational Workshop on Housing
Date: Every third Thursday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m.
Location: 300 East Joppa Road, Suite 312, Towson, Maryland 21286
Learn about housing options, strategies to seek and apply for housing, different waiting lists and basic rights for getting housing.
Cost: Free

The League for People with Disabilities, Inc.
Title: Club 1111
Date: Every second Saturday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m.
Location: 1111 East Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, Maryland 21239
Nightclub catering to people with disabilities, age 18 and over, complete with two dance floors, technology lounge, a sports lounge and snack bars.
Cost: Cover charge is $10, payable online or in cash at the door.

Meeting Dates: The second Thursday of every other month (January, March and May) from 2 to 4 p.m.

Activity Dates: February, April and June, details to be determined during the meeting dates listed above.
Social opportunity for people with disabilities living in nursing facilities and within the community. The group will share support and resources for independent living, alternating monthly planning meetings and activities.

Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS), Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC)
Location: 6901 North Charles Street, Building E, Room 114, Greenwood Campus, Towson, Maryland 21204
SECAC is a group of parents, BCPS special education staff and community members that gather monthly to collaboratively raise the bar for children with special needs.
Cost: Free and open to the public
