Food Distribution for Senior Citizens Age 60 and Older

The Department of Aging will be distributing food kits to individuals and households who are at risk of malnutrition due to a lack of income to afford food, lack of transportation to access food, and self-isolating due to COVID-19. Preregistration is required to receive the food.

Each food kit will include:

  • One box of non-perishable food (such as canned vegetables and soups, pasta, rice, sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal)
  • One box of perishable fruits and vegetables (such as potatoes, onions, oranges, apples, salad mix)
  • One box of dairy products (including milk, yogurt, eggs and cheese)
  • One small frozen chicken

Seniors living in Baltimore County age 60 and older, or BCDA senior center members, can register on Mondays beginning at 8:30 a.m. for the following week’s pickups by calling 410-887-2040. Reservations can only be made for yourself and one other person. Only one person per household can receive a food kit each week.
