Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks Launches New Park Finder Web Tool

May 22, 2023

TOWSON - The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks today announced the launch of its new Park Finder web tool(link is external). The tool, which provides users with comprehensive information on 362 parks and recreation centers throughout the County, makes exploring and enjoying Baltimore County easier than ever.

Park Finder provides options to search for parks and recreation centers by name, location and/or amenities such as playgrounds, picnic areas, dog parks, boat rentals, walking paths and much more. This tool gives full information about each location, helping users identify unique park amenities to best suit their needs and interests.

“Baltimore County parks have it all – pristine waterways and forests, athletic fields, fun and educational activities for families and more,” said Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski. “This new tool will offer residents and visitors a comprehensive, user-friendly way to get outside and explore the area’s large array of natural resources and diverse recreational opportunities.”

The new Park Finder tool is part of the Department of Recreation and Parks’ ongoing efforts to improve visibility and increase usage of parks and rec centers throughout Baltimore County. The Department encourages residents and visitors alike to take advantage of the new tool and explore the many parks and recreation centers that the County has to offer.

“Park Finder will allow the public the opportunity to find all of our amazing park assets throughout Baltimore County,” said Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks Director Bob Smith. “Thanks to the diligent efforts of our capital development team and Office of Information Technology, residents and visitors will enjoy an enhanced level of customer service while looking for a field, pavilion, boat ramp, pickleball court, or any other recreation amenity in our system.”

In addition to providing comprehensive park information, the tool includes a feature that allows users to copy the link of each result and share them with friends and family. The app is currently accessible by visiting baltimorecountymd.gov/parkfinder(link is external).
