In accordance with the amended Annotated Code of Maryland, Environment Article Section 9-503, the Baltimore County Department of Public Works is proposing an amendment to the County’s Ten Year Solid Waste Management Plan regarding a proposed solid waste transfer facility at 7600 Rolling Mill Road.

For community input, a virtual public hearing is being held in cooperation with the County Planning Board.

The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 5 p.m. Meeting details will be available at baltimorecountymd.gov/boards-commissions/planning/planning-board.

Residents should check the County Planning Board web page for updates as the hearing date approaches. County representatives will be present at the hearing to accept questions and comments.

The proposed Plan amendment language is available online at baltimorecountymd.gov/solidwasteplan, from the Bureau of Solid Waste Management directly (recycle@baltimorecountymd.gov or 410-887-2000) and at every branch of the Baltimore County Public Library system.

In addition to the hearing, persons may send written comments on the proposed amendment to Michael Beichler, Chief, Bureau of Solid Waste Management, 111 West Chesapeake Avenue, Room 211, Towson, MD 21204 or recycle@baltimorecountymd.gov.

Comments must be received by March 24, 2022.
