Effective immediately, no longer requires use of masks and face coverings outdoors.
Under the state’s order, face coverings are still required for all Marylanders at all large ticketed venues as well as indoors at all public and private businesses and when using public transportation. Those not yet vaccinated are strongly encouraged to continue wearing masks outdoors when physical distancing is not possible.
Effective Saturday, May 1, lifts restrictions related to outdoor dining capacity and distancing and allows standing service outdoors at bars and restaurants.
Under the state’s order, seated service and physical distancing requirements indoors at bars and restaurants will remain in place.

Baltimore County Executive Olszewski issued the following statement:
“As Baltimore County remains in alignment with the state’s next steps, we must continue to stay vigilant, follow the guidance of scientists, and get fully vaccinated as soon as possible to preserve the progress we’re making together. We will continue to closely monitor key data in the coming weeks and we remain fully prepared to take steps as necessary to protect public health. Baltimore County, please use caution and help us stay on the path to winning our fight against this disease. By each doing our part, we can end this crisis once and for all.”
