Tobacco-Free Baltimore County Coalition
The Tobacco-Free Baltimore County Coalition is a community coalition that:
- Examines the provision of tobacco services in the County, including education, enforcement, cessation and outreach activities.
- Provides leadership, advocacy and support to the Baltimore County Department of Health’s Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program.
- Advises the Department in program plans to maximize the health benefits to the community.
- Discusses local, state and federal legislation concerning tobacco issues and the impact on the community.
- Corresponds with legislators and officials in addressing the needs of the community.
The Coalition meets four times a year and consists of a representative from the Baltimore County Department of Health and two community representatives who serve as co-chairpersons and are elected by the Coalition.
