A man who fled from Baltimore County and Baltimore City Police in a stolen vehicle is under arrest this afternoon.

Our Regional Auto Theft Taskforce (RATT Squad, which includes officers from both Baltimore County and Baltimore City as well as officers from other surrounding jurisdictions) attempted to stop a vehicle early this afternoon after patrol officers from the White Marsh Precinct notified them that they were following a vehicle with verified stolen license plate tags. Air support took over when the officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle but it began to flee erratically on Pulaski Highway into Baltimore City.

Air support kept RATT units from Baltimore County and Baltimore City updated on the location of the vehicle as it continued to drive recklessly through Baltimore City, where the driver struck two parked cars and fled the vehicle on foot. Baltimore City RATT units arrived on the scene, located and caught up to the fleeing suspect, and were able to stop and apprehend him. Detectives determined that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Baltimore City and the tags were also reported stolen from a different vehicle in Baltimore City.

The uncooperative suspect was transported back to Baltimore County for charging. He is not yet identified but is described as an adult male. Further information will be provided once he is positively identified.
