Baltimore County Police in the Cockeysville Precinct (7) are hoping someone will recognize this opportunistic thief who stole a money order worth $1,170 unintentionally left behind by another customer.

The victim purchased the money order for payment of his housing rent around 6:40 p.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 10045 York Road on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He inadvertently left it on the counter when he gathered his other purchases and left the store. He returned a short time later to retrieve it, but it was already gone.

Surveillance video obtained by officers revealed that the suspect depicted below approached the counter moments after the victim left, made purchases of his own, then picked up the money order and left the store. The suspect is described as a tan-skinned man, possibly of hispanic descent, approximately 18-35 years old, with short black hair, wearing a blue shirt under a black jacket.

Anyone who may recognize this thief is asked to contact police at the Cockeysville precinct at 410-887-1820.
