UPDATE (March 27, 2020 8:51 p.m.):

booking photo of Michael Kevin Richardson JrBaltimore County Police have arrested Michael Kevin Richardson Jr. (25) in connection with the death of Anthony Laron Richardson Jr. (not related). Suspect Richardson has been charged with first degree murder. He was arrested on March 26th. Police have determined that the suspect targeted the victim.

On February 25th, police responded to the unit block of Comet Court, 21234 for a shooting. The initial investigation determined that Victim Richardson was shot at least once while on Comet Court. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Suspect Richardson is held on a no bail status pending a bail review at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-887-2222 or the Baltimore County Police Department' s Homicide Unit at 410-887-3943.

 

Original Release (February 26, 2020 9:35 a.m.):

Baltimore County Police homicide detectives are investigating a shooting on Comet Court, 21234. The victim was transported to Sinai Hospital where he later died.

The initial investigation determined that the man, identified as Anthony Laron Richardson, Jr. (23) of the unit block of Solar Circle, 21234, was shot at least once in the unit block of Comet Court in Parkville around 10:25 p.m.

Detectives are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything to contact police at 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
