On August 28, 2018 just before 8:00 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to the area of Wise Avenue and Woodland Drive in Dundalk for a shooting. Police arrived and determined that a suspect fired a weapon from a vehicle in the parking lot of the 611 store located in the 100-block of Wise Avenue, 21222. The suspect fired at a male and female victim, both who were standing in the parking lot of the store. Neither victims were struck by the gunfire. Police are actively pursuing leads in this case. The Baltimore County Police Department Robbery Unit is asking for the public’s help with identifying a suspect that committed several armed robberies in the Dundalk area of Baltimore County between mid-January through the beginning of March, 2018. 

This suspect is responsible for robbing a number of liquor stores and convenience style stores, including the BP Gas Station at 800 Merritt Boulevard, Wise Liquors at 307 Wise Avenue, and Bite My Slice at 7014 German Hill Road, all in Dundalk.

While detectives have not obtained a usable image to release from surveillance video, the suspect is described as being a tall, possibly biracial man, approximately 5’10” to 6 feet tall, and an average weight. Anyone who may have information regarding these robberies is asked to contact police by calling 410-307-2020.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting in Dundalk last night that left one man injured.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, reported being shot at least once in the lower body just after 8 p.m. as he was walking in the unit block of Kavanagh Road in Dundalk. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.
