Baltimore County Police are investigating after a 54-year-old man walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound to an upper body extremity.

The investigation is still in the early stages as police work to determine where this shooting occurred and the circumstances involved. The man has been released from the hospital following treatment for his wound.

This incident continues to be investigated by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit.

BCoPD detectives are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man who walked in to Northwest Hospital early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the hospital at about 4:20 a.m. The victim told detectives he was operating an illegal taxi service when he picked up several males who were walking along Reisterstown and Hammershire roads in Precinct 3/Franklin.  The victim said there was an argument over money, and that one of the suspects shot him in the thigh. The victim said he drove himself to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
