Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit continue investigating a shooting in Pikesville that left one woman seriously injured.

Detectives have linked a number of incidents that occurred across the western part of Baltimore County last night to one suspect who has known associates at each location. Police believe the string of events began with the assault of and theft from a family member in the unit block of Comill Court, 21117, just after 7 p.m. From there the suspect drove a Ford Mustang to the 7400 block of Ricksway Road, 21208 where he fired shots through the front door of a home around 7:43 p.m., striking a woman in the upper body. The suspect fled in the Ford Mustang. The woman, 66, suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. She is currently in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.

Detectives are also working to link the suspect to an 8:21 p.m. call for a shooting in the 9900 block of Tuscarora Road, 21133 where the front side of the home showed damage from gunfire, and a burglary at 8:32 p.m. in the 9900 block of Shoshone Way, 21133. Police also received an unsubstantiated call for a firearm discharge in the 4600 block of Talman Road, 21208 around 8:35 p.m. The suspect has associates in all of these reported areas.

Notifications were sent county-wide for officers regarding the Ford Mustang, which was located traveling on Reisterstown Road near Mount Wilson Lane around 9:01 p.m. by an astute Sergeant from the Franklin Precinct. The Mustang was stopped and the suspect, currently only identified as a 26-year-old man, was arrested. Further information on the suspect will be provided following formal charging.
