On Thursday, February 13, the Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD) will be participating in an exercise hosted by the Maryland Air National Guard (MDANG) to practice an integrated response between the MDANG Security Forces and the BCoPD during a critical incident. The exercise will be held at Warfield Air National Guard Base located at 2701 Eastern Boulevard, 21220 from 7 to 10 a.m.

The public should be aware of an increase in police presence at Martin's State Airport located at 701 Wilson Point Road, 21220 and Warfield Air National Guard Base.

Traffic and neighborhoods will not be affected as the exercise will be confined to Warfield Air National Guard Base. This exercise will be held rain or shine.

No live weapons will be used during this training.

On July 26, a large scale training exercise will take place at the North Point Government Center located at 1747 Merritt Boulevard 21222 (at the corner of Merritt Boulevard and Wise Avenue) from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The exercise is the culmination of a three-day Active Threat Integrated Response Course (ATIRC) that improves integration between law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services (EMS) during their response to an active shooter/assailant critical incident.

All of the activities will be contained on the grounds of the North Point Government Center. The public is being made aware that there will be an increased presence of emergency response vehicles and personnel at this location, and is being asked to avoid this area during the training exercise so as to not interfere with the activities.
