A two-alarm fire damaged three townhouses  in a Reisterstown/Glyndon neighborhood today.

Two of the townhouses in the 300 block of Town Green Way, 21136, were fully involved with fire and suffered heavy damage.

Fire crews responded at 11:40 a.m.; commanders from the Franklin Fire Station's Engine 56 requested a second alarm at 11:50 a.m. In two townhomes fire was through the roof. Firefighters began an interior attack, but commanders soon evacuated the buildings for safety.

The fire was knocked down at 12:13 p.m. Extensive overhaul operations continued well into the afternoon.

All occupants evacuated on their own, and no injuries were reported.

An investigation of cause and origin will be handled by BCoPD fire investigators.

Original release (January 5, 2016  1:37 p.m.):

Just after 7 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to Town Green Way and Bond Avenue 21136 for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a car.

The preliminary investigation in to the crash has indicated that a 13-year-old boy was crossing Bond Avenue when he was struck by a Nissan Sentra that had been traveling east-bound. The Sentra remained at the scene.

The boy was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

This crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
