Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Detectives are investigating an incident in Middle River that left a victim injured this afternoon.

On 2/6/20 at 4:42 p.m., officers responded to the unit block of Oak Grove Drive in Middle River for a call of a gunshot wound. Responding officers located a victim who sustained trauma to the lower body. Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The victim is expected to survive. 

Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Anyone with information should contact the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit by calling 410-307-2020.

Detectives are investigating a Middle River shooting that seriously injured a 27-year-old man.

The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. today in an apartment in the 3800 block of Dunsmuir Circle, 21220, in  Precinct 11/Essex.

An investigation by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit shows that two men knocked on the door of apartment and announced a robbery as soon as the victims --the man and a 20-year-old female companion -- answered the door. One of the suspects displayed a handgun, and both suspects entered the apartment. The male victim was shot during a brief struggle. He is in surgery at an area hospital.

The suspects fled on foot with an unknown amount cash.

Police are trying to determine whether this was a targeted crime. Anyone with information about this case should contact BCoPD at 410-307-2020.
