A pedestrian crossing the street on her way home in Pikesville last night was struck by a car and killed.

Police responded to the scene on Chelwood Road at Smith Avenue at 7:49 p.m. after the woman, identified as Deborah R. Friedman (51) of the 6600 block of Chelwood Road, 21209, attempted to cross Chelwood Road outside of a crosswalk and was struck by a Lexus turning left onto Chelwood Road from Smith Avenue. The woman was transported by Baltimore County EMS to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma where she was pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash. The driver of the Lexus did remain at the scene and was not injured.

UPDATE (September 9, 2019 10:14 a.m.):

Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in Milford Mill this weekend as Jeborha Lamar Kelly (31) of the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue, 21215.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Kelly. Anyone with information to offer should call 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Original Release (September 7, 2019 2:41 p.m.):

A man in Milford Mill died from an apparent gunshot wound early this morning.

At 4:22 a.m. police were dispatched to the unit block of Church Lane near Milford Mill Road in the Pikesville Precinct for an unknown illness call. Responding officers found an adult male, 31, suffering from trauma to the body. He was transported to a local hospital by medics where he was pronounced deceased. Baltimore County Police Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Booking photo of Johnny Ray Woods III, arrested in murder of Dymond Jones.Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives have charged Dymond Jones' boyfriend in her shooting death.

Dymond Jones was found unresponsive in her bedroom in the 7400 block of Kathydale Road by family members on June 11, 2019. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner subsequently ruled her death a homicide by gunshot wound.

Johnny Ray Woods III (20) of the 3900 block of Bareva Road, 21215 provided a statement to police that conflicted with evidence collected at the scene. He is charged with second degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. Woods is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.

UPDATE (June 13, 2019 1:24 p.m.):

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death of Dymond Ariel Jones (18) a homicide by gunshot wound.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit will continue their investigation into her death. Homicide Detectives Investigate Woman's Suspicious Death

Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Pikesville after a woman was found in her home suffering from trauma to the upper body late last night.

Police were dispatched to the home in the 7400 block of Kathydale Road, 21208 just before 10 p.m. last night where the woman, identified as Dymond Ariel Jones (18), was pronounced deceased at the scene. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information that may concern the woman's death is asked to contact Homicide Unit detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
