UPDATE (February 14, 2020 3:45 p.m.):

The officer involved and wounded in the shooting on Radecke Avenue on Wednesday is identified as Officer First Class Swinney, a 31-year veteran of the department, permanently assigned to the U.S. Marshal’s Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF). He has had no previous officer-involved shootings.

Officer Swinney remains hospitalized and in serious condition. Baltimore Police are continuing to conduct the investigation into this incident.

Original Release (February 12, 2020 2:45 p.m.):

Around noon in the 5900 block of Radecke Avenue, members of a joint task force were attempting to serve a felony arrest warrant.

At that time officers confronted the suspect and gun shots were fired. Two members of the task force were shot. The suspect was also shot and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two members of the task force include a Baltimore Police officer and a Baltimore County Police officer. Both officers are currently being treated at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma.
