Baltimore County Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal motorcycle crash last night.

Steven Eugene Bailey (55) of the 5000 block of Terrace Drive, 21236 died after being transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Medevac. 

Bailey was operating a motorcycle on Manor Road around 7:30 p.m. when a 2018 Honda Civic traveling in the opposite direction turned left onto Stansbury Mill Road in front of him. Bailey's motorcycle struck the right rear corner of the Honda, causing it to leave the roadway and strike several large rocks on a resident's lawn, leaving him with critical injuries.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate all of the factors involved in this fatal crash.

Police continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash on Red Run Boulevard last night.

Officers were called to the area at 8:39 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling southbound on Red Run Boulevard near Redland Court lost control for reasons not yet determined and began to slide. The operator was separated from the motorcycle and struck by a Toyota Corolla traveling northbound on Red Run Boulevard. He was transported to Sinai Hospital where he later died. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.

The operator of the motorcycle is identified as Josean Joel Osoria (22) of the 100 block of Enchanted Hills Road, 21117.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing their work to determine all of the factors involved in this fatal crash.

Baltimore County Police investigated two separate fatal crashes involving motorcycles last night.

The first crash occurred on the west side of the county around 6:12 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling south on Black Rock Road north of Falls Road lost control in a curve in the roadway and collided with a guardrail support pole. Baltimore County EMS responded and pronounced the rider deceased at the scene. He is identified as Kevin Dwayne Petty (48) of the 1300 block of Hillcrest Street, 21074.

The second crash occurred on the east side of the county just after 7 p.m. when a Volkswagen Jetta attempted to make a left turn onto Allender Road from Philadelphia Road in front of an oncoming motorcycle which struck the front passenger side of the Jetta. The adult male operator of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A female passenger of the motorcycle, identified as Ashley Lynn Simpson (27) of the 7900 block of 35th Street, 21218, suffered critical injuries and was transported to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Jetta was uninjured and remained at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the factors involved in both of these fatal crashes.
