A career Baltimore County firefighter was critically injured this morning when his motorcycle crashed on his way to work at the Westview Fire Station.

The firefighter, a 26-year-old and seven-year veteran of BCoFD, currently is listed in critical but stable condition at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. 

Emergency responders were dispatched at 6:27 a.m. to the crash at Woodlawn and Linus drives, 21207. The crash involved a collision between the firefighters' motorcycle and another vehicle. The firefighter was transported by ground to Shock Trauma as a Priority 1 patient. No one else was transported.

The firefighter's name is withheld at this time.

On August 29 at 2:25 p.m., Baltimore County Police received a call for a crash on Washington Boulevard at Monumental Road, 21227. Police were able to determine that a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound on Washington Boulevard. A 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard. The Suburban began to turn left onto Monumental Road and struck the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries from the crash. The driver of the Suburban remained at the scene. 

The motorcycle driver has been identified as Agha Dilawar Khan, 18, of the 1800-block of Winans Avenue, 21227. County Crash Team officers are continuing their investigation at this time.  

On 5/27/18 at approximately 01:55 a.m., Baltimore County Police responded to a crash near the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Middle River Road, 21220. Investigation revealed that a 2014 Toyota Corolla was exiting the parking lot of Mo’s Seafood located in the 9700-block of Pulaski Highway. The Toyota crossed over the eastbound lanes of Pulaski Highway and then made a left turn, entering the first westbound lane of Pulaski Highway. At that time, a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Pulaski Highway and struck the rear of the Toyota. The operator of the motorcycle was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where he was pronounced deceased at 3:26 a.m. The operator of the Toyota was transported to another local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the motorcycle was a 54-year-old man from the Essex area. His name will be released after notification of next of kin.
