Baltimore County Police are investigating two separate fatal crashes today.

The first occurred around 9:20 p.m. last night on Liberty Road near Florida Road. The preliminary investigation indicates that the rider of a motorcycle, identified as Rudy Anthony Coles (48) of the 500 block of Valcour Road, 21228, was traveling eastbound on Liberty Road when a 2018 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound in the center turn lane attempted to turn left into the Exxon gas station in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle skidded into the front corner of the Corolla, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Sinai Hospital and later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Corolla was not injured.

The second crash occurred in White Hall around 9:47 a.m. today on Troyer Road near McComas Road when a Honda Civic traveling south on Troyer Road crossed into the oncoming northbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet Suburban. Both vehicles traveled off the roadway into a field. The driver of the Suburban was not injured but the driver of the Civic was pronounced deceased at the scene. She is identified as Ruth Barbara Ringler of the 17000 block of Troyer Road, 21161. 

Both crashes continue to be investigated by the Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team to determine the causative factors involved.

A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after a another vehicle struck a deer, throwing it into the path of her car Friday night.

The woman, 54, suffered critical injuries and was flown by Maryland State Police Medevac to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma when a deer was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on North Point Road near McComas Road and thrown into the path of the woman's car as she traveled northbound on North Point Road around 8:44 p.m. The deer was thrown onto her car and broke through the front windshield, entering into the front passenger compartment of the woman's Nissan Altima. A front passenger also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by Medic to an area hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

This crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team.
