Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

At approximately 6:13 p.m. on Friday, March 31, the suspect entered Shaw’s Jewelers located inside Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue in the Dundalk precinct. He spoke with a sales associate, inquiring about items located near the exit of the store. When the associate removed the items from the case for his inspection, he displayed a handgun, took the merchandise, and fled from the store into the mall, exiting the mall near Applebee’s Grill and Bar.

The suspect is described as a black male with short black balding hair, around 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 5’8” and 130 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020. This case is currently under investigation by the Baltimore County Robbery Unit.

Detectives with the Dundalk Precinct Investigative Services Team are investigating after a man stole an $8,000 necklace from a jewelry store in Eastpoint Mall.

The investigation has indicated that the suspect entered the Elite Gold and Diamonds store just before 4 p.m. on December 7 and asked to see a gold necklace worth $8,000. A store employee handed it to him, he put it around his neck, and ran from the store. A store employee chased the suspect onto the parking lot where he got into a silver Honda Accord.

The store employee stated he was standing about 50 to 75 feet from the Honda Accord and that someone inside the vehicle pointed what he believed to be a gun at him. The vehicle fled the scene on Eastern Avenue towards Essex.

Images of the suspect were captured on the store’s video surveillance system.

Metro Crime Stoppers, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards for information in connection with felony offenses. Anonymous tips can be sent to Metro Crime Stoppers by phone, text message or online.

Bernadette M. Caruso has been missing for just over 30 years and police are looking to the public for assistance in finding out what happened to her.

Bernadette M. Caruso worked at the Shaw’s Jewelers in Eastpoint Mall. On September 27, 1986 she left work and was never seen again. She was described as a 23-year-old Caucasian woman 5'4", 190 pounds, with green eyes and medium-length, brownish-blonde hair. She drove a 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier, gray/green in color, with Maryland tags FYW097.

She was separated from her husband, and their then three-year-old daughter was in the care of her in-laws. Investigators found that she had not contacted any friends or relatives and described her disappearance as "completely out of character". Investigators fear that Caruso may have fallen victim to foul play.

The search for Bernadette M. Caruso is being led by the Baltimore County Police Missing Persons Unit.
