UPDATE (April 13, 2020 11:39 a.m.):

Police have identified two victims of a double shooting in Essex Friday afternoon who shot and killed each other. 

Police responded to Norris Lane and Torner Road at 12:13 p.m. for a call of a shooting and located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where they later died.

The investigation has revealed that both victims, identified as Garrett Lucas Cox Jr. (18) of the 400 block of Torner Road, 21221 and Antione Baye Richards Jr. (20) of the 1000 block of Debbie Avenue, 21221, were passengers of the same vehicle when they began to argue, escalating to both retrieving firearms and shooting one another inside the vehicle. Both attempted to flee the vehicle but collapsed nearby.

Baltimore County Police Homicide Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information should contact detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Police Investigate Double Shooting in Essex

Baltimore County Police are investigating a double shooting in Essex this afternoon.

Police responded to the intersection of Norris Lane and Torner Road, 21221 at 12:13 p.m. for a shooting. The initial investigation determined that two men were shot and transported to local hospitals by medics. The ages and condition of the victims are unconfirmed at this time. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Baltimore County Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information should contact Detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Baltimore County Police are investigating a double shooting in the Parkville Precinct tonight.

Police responded to the 8600 block of Wendell Avenue for a call of a shooting around 9:04 p.m. A male victim suffered a gunshot wound to his lower body and a female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. Both wounds are considered non-life-threatening and both victims are expected to survive their wounds.

The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police but the preliminary investigation indicates that the victims were targeted. Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit are responding to further the investigation into this shooting and to determine a motive. Anyone with information on the shooting or suspect is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.

Booking photo of Defendant William Lee LipscombBaltimore County Police have charged William Lee Lipscomb (25) of the 3200 block of Miller Avenue, 21220 with two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, two counts of First Degree Assault, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony in the double shooting on Miller Avenue Tuesday night. He is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.

Original Post (September 26, 2018 4:50 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police are investigating a double shooting in Middle River that left two men injured last night.

Police responded to a local hospital for a report of two gunshot wound victims around 8:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Miller Avenue in Middle River around 8 p.m. following an ongoing dispute between the suspect and the two victims, ages 22 and 24. Officers were called to the location following a disturbance involving the same individuals earlier in the evening. The victims were driven to a local hospital following the shooting. Both were struck in the upper body and both are expected to survive.

The suspect has been identified. More information will be released following formal charging of the suspect. The Baltimore County Violent Crimes Unit is continuing their investigation into this shooting.
