On July 3 just before 10 p.m. Baltimore County Police responded to the unit block of Richmar Road, 21117 for a shooting. Responding officers found the victim, Benjamin Knefel (31) of the unit block of Richmar Road, 21117, shot multiple times in the upper body. He was pronounced deceased by medics.

Baltimore County Police Department's Homicide Detectives are continuing the investigation into this murder. Anyone who may have additional information is asked to contact Baltimore County by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards of up to $2000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses.

The passenger in a single-vehicle crash on June 14 died yesterday.

Both the driver and the passenger, identified as Cecelia Geniese Barbour (47) of the 8200 block of Church Lane, 21244 were transported to an area hospital with injuries at the time of the crash.

Barbour was the passenger in a 2013 Honda Accord traveling eastbound on Security Boulevard near Interstate 695 when the driver of the vehicle drove over a curb and struck a concrete pillar just after 9 p.m. on June 14.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing their work to determine all of the factors involved in this fatal crash.
