Baltimore County police are advising local residents and others about temporary road closures set for Saturday, April 27, 2019 because of the Maryland Hunt Cup Steeplechase.

Beginning at 2 p.m., eastbound traffic will be diverted on Tufton Avenue onto southbound Dover Road. Westbound traffic on Tufton Avenue will be stopped for pedestrians as needed. This will allow race-goers to safely cross Tufton Avenue on foot.

The following roads will be closed from 3 to 6 p.m. during the race and until most of the crowd leaves the temporary parking areas:

  • Worthington Avenue and Tufton Avenue
  • Belmont Avenue and Butler Road
  • Mantua Mill Road and Geist Road
  • Tufton Avenue and Falls Road
  • Dover Road and Tufton Ridge Road

No Parking signs will be posted the night before the race. Parking regulations will be strictly enforced.

Traffic is expected to return to normal by 6 p.m.

The funeral service for Mr. Kamenetz will be held at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation at 7401 Park Heights Avenue, 21208 on May 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

The burial will be at the Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery- Berrymans Lane. Starting at approximately 3:30 p.m., the funeral procession will travel:

  • North on Park Heights Avenue to 695-West
  • Merging onto Interstate 695-West to Interstate 795-North
  • Merging onto Interstate 795-North to Exit 7B, Franklin Boulevard, West
  • Traveling west on Franklin Boulevard to Nicodemus Road
  • Turning right onto Nicodemus Road and continuing to Berrymans Lane
  • Turning right onto Berrymans Lane and continuing to the Cemetery

The public is asked for patience and to expect road closures in the area of Park Heights Avenue and Slade Avenue starting at 11:45 a.m. and lasting until 4:00 p.m. Also expect road closures during the time of the procession as listed above.
