Baltimore County Police investigate a crash in Upperco today that left a bicyclist dead.

On August 1 just after 2:30 p.m. a Toyota Matrix drove east on Mount Carmel Road near Pleasant Meadow Road, 21155 behind a bicyclist. The Toyota hit the rear of the bicycle, causing the bicyclist to fall. The bicyclist, identified as Isaac Scharbach (21) of the 16000 block of Dark Hollow Road, 21155, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene. 

Investigators from the Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team are asking anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact police at 410-307-2020.

At 9:44 p.m. on  April 9, a bicyclist was struck as he was riding along Philadelphia Road between Golden Ring Road and I-695.

The 45-year-old male was riding eastbound on Philadelphia Road when an SUV struck him from behind. The driver of the SUV did not stop after striking the victim. No further information about the SUV is known.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the incident contact police at 410-307-2020.
