Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit detectives are investigating an incident on Bexhill Road near Turgot Lane that left one man injured.

Police were dispatched to Northwest Hospital around 2:55 a.m. for a patient with a possible gunshot wound. Medical staff have determined that the injury the 36-year-old victim sustained is actually a laceration or possibly a stab wound. He is expected to recover.

The victim indicated that he was walking with friends on Bexhill Road when they were approached by a vehicle. At least three suspects exited the vehicle and began a physical altercation with the group, during which shots were heard being fired. The victim fled and was later transported to the hospital for what he thought was a gunshot wound.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area at that time is asked to contact Baltimore County Police by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Baltimore County Police are investigating the robbery of a 72-year-old man in front of his home in the 7000 block of Bexhill Road 21244.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that on March 16 at approximately 4:20 a.m., the man left his home and was walking to his car. As he approached his car, unknown suspects came up to him, struck him on the head, and took money and keys from him.

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

This incident is under investigation by the Precinct 2/Woodlawn Investigative Services Team.
