Police are investigating a shooting that has left a 23-year-old man injured in Gwynn Oak.

The victim was inside the vestibule area of an apartment building in the 5900 block of Franklin Avenue around 2:58 p.m. today when he was shot multiple times in the upper and lower portions of his body by an unknown suspect. The suspect fled before police arrived on the scene. The was transported to an area hospital for treatment while police continue to canvass the area for clues and witnesses. Police believe that the victim was the intended target of the shooting and that there is no danger to the public at this time.
