Medhi Eghnal

Medhi Eghbal (48) of no fixed address was arrested today and charged with second-degree rape, fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault. He was also served with an FTA warrant from 2017 for driving with a revoked out of state license. He is held at the Baltimore County Detention center on a no bail status pending a bail review hearing.

Just before 1 a.m. on September 18, police responded to a restaurant called Z Burger, located in the unit block of Allegheny Avenue, 21204, for a call of a sexual assault. Responding officers met with the victim, an adult female, who advised that she was sexually assaulted at the location.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was invited into the location by Eghbal, who is an employee there. At the time this occurred, the business was closed. While inside, Eghbal sexually assaulted the victim. The victim was able to leave the location. As she exited, her friends, who had been using a cell phone location application to find her, saw her coming out of the location and called 911. Police quickly found Eghbal in the basement of the location, where he was arrested.
